I do my utmost to attend all lessons and, in return, I expect the same from my students.
I devote all my focus during lesson time to my students and their learning, so I turn phones etc off at home during this time. I would appreciate it if any other persons attending lessons with the student also see that their devices are switched off or on silent to ensure minimal interruptions to the student's lesson and that chatter is kept outside of the lesson room to minimise disruption and encourage concentration. I also ask that students be given a suitable place in their home to practice without constant scrutiny or disruption so they can make solid habits and progress out of their music practice in privacy while they develop their confidence.
Lessons must be kept to the allocated times, so it is the responsibility of the student or guardian (on their behalf) to see that they are suitably prepared & arrive for their lesson up to 5 minutes before and no later than when the lesson commences. Students who are early are asked to quietly remain outside until commencement of the lesson as not to disrupt others. An adult is also required to sign the student in at the commencement of each lesson. I can't allow lessons to run late. It's not fair on the next student waiting for the following lesson to commence, it has a knock-on effect on the timetable, and myself and/or my daughter are sometimes involved in other after-school activities and commitments elsewhere.
Fees are to be paid by the commencement of the first lesson of term/or the relevant due date as stipulated on invoices for discounted rates.
100% attendance is required during NSW school term dates, public holidays included.
If fees are not kept up to date, I cannot guarantee your allocated lesson time if there is somebody on my waiting list who would like to have it instead.
I just don't have the timetabling resources to be catching up absenteeism.
Sadly, I've had too many bounced cheques and unfulfilled promises of direct deposit payment over the years, so I only accept cash payments.
Term accounts are automatically distributed on week 5 of each term to allow ample time for families to prepare for payment. If your mailing address changes, it is your responsibility to let me know in writing before your next account is mailed out.
On any rare occasion when I am unable to attend a lesson, a credit will be given for the missed lesson against the following term account. I will give as much notice as possible for the missed lesson if this occurs.
To enrol, please contact me to arrange a suitable time and payment arrangements. Your time will be secured exclusively just for you once your first lesson account has been paid in full and enrolment paperwork completed and returned.
